Hudson Kiwanis Announces New SOFTBALL Program: 

Hudson Kiwanis will be offering in 2025 its first recreational softball program for girls 5-10 years old. The
program will offer individual skill instruction, be focused on team performance and begin the instruction of
softball rules and strategies. Depending on the number of registrations, the plan is to have a 6U,8U and
10U program.6U will be T-ball, 8U will be coach pitch and10U will be player pitch. Most games will be
played in Hudson with the possibility of a few games with other recreation teams in neighboring towns. All
players and coaches will participate under the Kiwanis softball rules and regulations. Registration begins
2/1/2025 on the Kiwanis website. Team draft will be 4/1/2025 with play starting May 27th.

Hudson Community First is proud to present New York Time's best seller, Dr. Lisa Damour.  Dr. Damour will be presenting " A PRAGMATIC APPROACH TO KIDS AND SOCIAL TECHNOLOGIES" on April 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hudson High School Auditorium.  Dr. Damour states " While there is no solution that lets kids access social technologies while eliminating all downsides, a slow going, pragmatic approach can help protect kids, adults’ relationships with them, and kids’ connections to their friends."  Visit www.hudsoncommunityfirst.com for more information.

Right to Read Week will take place Monday, March 17 - Friday, March 21.

 Visit the PTO Store to purchase signed and dedicated books by Right to Read Week author Marcy Campbell. Deadline to purchase is Friday, February 14. Update: acclaimed children’s author Drew Daywalt will be visiting our school during Right to Read Week as well and a selection of his books are also available for purchase online.

Nutrition Services: Ellsworth Hill will be serving breakfast and lunch this year. Breakfast rates are: $1.75 or $2.00 per meal. Lunch is $3.00.

Ellsworth Hill Daily Schedule:

Students’ School Day Begins:

  • 8:45 AM 1st bell rings. Students begin entering the building & report to classrooms.
  • 9:00 AM School begins for all students. Tardy bell rings. Students should be in their classrooms.  Please make every effort to have your student here on time. 

Dismissal:

  • 3:41 PM Walkers and bike riders are dismissed to the playground.
  • 3:42 PM Car riders are dismissed to the gym and exit to the playground.
  • 3:45 PM Bus riders are called over the PA in order of arrival and dismissed to the bus lot.

♦♦ Parent Pick-Up Reminder: Please display the car rider sign with your child's name on it in the front window/passenger side of your car. LEAVE your sign in your window until your child is in the car with you. If you need a sign please let the classroom teacher know and one can be sent home.
